Two-car garage

Stone Water came out and actually looked at the floor before quoting. Found a moisture issue no one else caught. Diamond grinding prep was thorough, floor was done by 4pm, and it's held up perfectly through two Atlanta summers.

Auto shop floor

We needed a floor that could take lifts, oil, and constant foot traffic. Stone Water recommended the right system and delivered. Two years in and it still looks the way it did on day one.

Three-car garage

Called three companies. Two gave quotes over the phone without seeing the slab. Stone Water drove out, checked it, gave me a written estimate. That's the kind of contractor you want working on your house.

Surface prep done properly

We diamond grind every floor before coating — not acid etch. Grinding opens the concrete pores so the epoxy bonds at a molecular level. It's why our floors don't peel.

Owner on every job

You work directly with the people installing your floor. No subcontractors. The same team that quotes the job is the team that shows up.

Built for Georgia's climate

Atlanta's heat, humidity, and temperature swings are hard on floor coatings. We spec products rated for these conditions, including moisture-tolerant primers for high-vapor slabs.

Straight answers, no upsells

We tell you exactly what your floor needs before any work starts. If your concrete doesn't need a repair, we won't charge you for one.

How It Works

From first call to finished floor. Every project follows this sequence — no shortcuts.

1

Free On-Site Estimate

We come to your location, measure the space, assess the concrete condition, and check for moisture issues. You get a written quote before any commitment — no phone quotes, no surprises.

Typically same week

2

Surface Preparation

Diamond grinding creates a mechanical profile in the concrete so the epoxy physically locks in — not just bonds on top. We also repair cracks, fill spalls, and apply moisture-tolerant primer where needed.

Morning of install day

3

Primer Application

A penetrating epoxy primer seals the concrete and creates the bond layer that everything else builds on. This step is what separates a floor that lasts from one that peels.

Same day

4

Base Coat & Broadcast

The color coat or flake broadcast is applied to your spec. This is where the look of your floor is established — solid color, full flake, or metallic.

Same day

5

Topcoat & Final Walkthrough

A urethane or polyaspartic topcoat seals everything and adds abrasion resistance. We walk the floor with you before we leave. Light foot traffic in 24 hours, vehicles after 72 hours.

Questions

Have something we didn't cover? Call us — we'll give you a straight answer.

Yes — all estimates are free and done on-site. We come to your location, measure the area, assess the concrete condition, and give you a written quote before any work begins. No pressure, no commitment.

We operate across Georgia (GA), Alabama (AL), North Carolina (NC), South Carolina (SC), and Tennessee (TN). If you're unsure whether we cover your specific city or county, give us a call and we'll let you know right away.

Diamond grinding creates a mechanical profile in the concrete — the epoxy physically locks into the surface rather than just bonding chemically on top of it. Most low-cost installers acid-etch or skip prep entirely. We diamond grind every floor, which is why ours don't peel.

We install full-flake broadcast systems, solid color epoxy, metallic epoxy, quartz broadcast, polyaspartic, and high-build commercial systems. Each system is specified based on your slab condition, the level of traffic, and how you'll use the space.

Most single and two-car garages are completed in one day. Larger garages or those requiring concrete repairs may take two days. We'll give you a precise timeline at the estimate visit.

Light foot traffic: 24 hours. Vehicle parking: 72 hours. Full cure for heavy loads: 7 days. Polyaspartic topcoat systems cure significantly faster — ask about this option if turnaround time is important to you.

Yes, and we account for it. Heat, humidity, and temperature swings across GA, AL, NC, SC, and TN are hard on floor coatings. We use moisture-tolerant primer systems on high-vapor slabs, and specify UV-stable topcoats that resist yellowing and softening in Southern heat.

Yes. Stone Water Coatings is fully licensed and carries liability insurance. We can provide documentation before any work begins.

Sweep or dust-mop regularly to remove grit that can scratch the surface. Mop with mild soap and warm water for deeper cleaning. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners. With proper care, a quality epoxy floor holds up for 10–20 years.
